December 2006 - Home at Last!
Well, after 8 years of weekly travel for work I am finally at home full time! No more planes for a long good while. Being on the road every week, leaving Sunday night and returning late Thursday night is great in the beginning, but after awhile it gets tiring. Ask any seasoned road warrior and they will tell you the same thing. The hard part when you give it up is getting it out of your blood though. And this is what I'm going through now.
I now get to work from my home office and not even have to get in the car in the morning when it's -30 out in mid January. I know, going from traveling full time for work to not traveling at all (not to mention not even leaving the house) is a BIG change. I am fully aware of that and am slowly but surely trying to get used to it. I'll know more in the next couple of months if I can survive it, but for now it's a fantastic respite from the regular rigors of travel and being away all the time.

Well, my sister! I'm very happy that you have finally gotten a job that allows you to remain in your beautiful hometown more often!
Of course, that said, I can't wait for you to come visit me here in Taiwan in february!! ;)
Yeah! And I get to sleep tight and cuddle evry night! IN MY OWN BED... whoo hoo
